About Dianne Lee Blomberg, PhD
Dr. Blomberg is an author and professional speaker, living in Colorado.
Dr. Dianne Blomberg is a Colorado native who was first connected to the need for human communication improvement when her Italian immigrant uncle was turned away from a fine clothing shop because he was dressed in his old work clothes and spoke with less than perfect English. That, along with years of collecting and analyzing data that influences successful relationships, pushed her to move from curiosity into a well-respected career.
Her research and writing in succeeding in unconventional relationships is a much sought-after topic for public speaking events. Dianne Blomberg has been working in the field of Personal Relationships and Communication for more than three decades. She earned a Ph.D. in Organizational Communication from the University of Denver. She worked in public relations and marketing for small and large corporations, and has owned and operated several businesses. Dr. Blomberg has taught at the college level in Business Management, Business Finance, and Organizational Communication. In addition, she has managed college professors around the world, in online classrooms, honing the skill of virtual leadership.
She is the author of books and articles in the area of Human Communication Theory, Workplace Communication, Psychology of Communication, Research Writing, and Children’s books. Her research has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Newsday (New York), The Boston Globe, First for Women, The Denver Post, Family Life, Healthy Kids, Real Woman, Contra Costa Times, The Boston Herald, Working Woman, The Sacramento Bee, Good Housekeeping, and many other national publications. She is the author of a children’s book, Sam and Gram and the First Day of School (Magination Press; APA imprint), as well as the Chinese and Korean translation of this title. She is the co-author of five titles in The Psychology of Communication series published by Simon and Schuster/Pearson. Dianne has consulted for a variety of businesses in the area of communication effectiveness in organizations including AT&T, Job Corps, U.S. Department of Labor, Embassy Suites Hotel, Inc., North American Property Management, St. Anthony’s Hospital Emergency 911 Team, Red Rock Recovery Center, and many more with speaking engagements throughout the country on topics in her expertise.
