Are you lonely? Aren’t we all lonely at times?
I’m not talking about lonely for some specific person or place, but rather a feeling of being remote and solitary in the universe.
Fact is, we are supposed to be lonely at times. But why?
So…
When the feeling of being remote, disconnected, or solitary comes your way, ask it to linger. Light a candle and invite lonely to sit a spell. From being lonely we learn how to be alone in this universe; it is the beginning and ending human experience and within it, there is something to learn. What is the lesson for you to learn during this time? When we are in the middle of people, places, and relationships we are too engaged for solitary learning to occur. But, when loneliness visits, with it she brings lessons to be learned. If we shoo her away with time-filing activities, over-spending, over-eating, and the like she’ll step aside, but she’ll be back. She has a lesson for us to learn and she will return and return and return until we give her our solitary attention, in order to learn the lesson.
Don’t be afraid of lonely. It is one of the bitter/sweet parts of life. Without the bitterness of lonely, we cannot experience the sweetness of the lesson, learned.

Thank You loved it……..

Well said, Dianne. Taking time to appreciate the silence of aloneness and reflecting can be very healing. I suppose one could argue that loneliness properly harnessed can be also viewed as tranquility. Something to consider anyway. Be well.

Alone time can be tranquil. Lonely usually is not. Let’s hope we all have a healthy mix of both.
