About Me

Dianne Blomberg, PhD lives in Denver, Colorado. She was a high school teacher and college professor who left that beloved profession behind to work full time as a writer and speaker on topics concerning human behavior. She is the mother of two daughters and the grandmother of two grown grandsons.

Her years of experience in all things show up in stories that captivate. Her writing is published in journals, magazines and featured in anthologies and “best-of” publications. Dianne’s work is quoted in multiple national publications and can be heard on podcasts. She is a recent past President of the Denver Woman’s Press Club. Look for Dianne in front of an audience where she loves to present what she loves to write, stories that improve the quality of life.

The first book I had published was a picture book for my grandson, “Sam and Gram and the First Day of School” (Magination Press,Washington DC, 1999). I’ve been recording stories ever since. My enjoyment of writing for children reminded me to keep the child in me nurtured. Now, I write screenplays, personal narratives, and freelance. And then there are those short stories that pop from my head to the page and sometimes take a macabre turn. Yikes! Where did that come from? I often wonder.

Dianne is working on a book of essays, What Else You Got Girl?
